WAFIOS has been maintaining excellent partnerships with Japanese clients for more than 75 years. Not even World War II interrupted these relationships completely. Still, with the wire-processing industry advancing rapidly and technologically, a new strategy had to be developed in the post-war area. Co-operation with a well introduced partner in Japan who was capable of setting up a maintenance and service centre with technically trained Japanese personnel was the issue, then. Correns Corporation was the partner we found. They fully met the requirements set forth by us and quickly managed to get the market-oriented and functional after-sales-organisation under way we had in mind.

Right from the start in the early 50's due to the close co-operation with, and the constant training of Correns' personnel we achieved a solid market basis in Japan. Working closely with our customers in fulfilling their demands, technical interlocution on developments and the partnership with Correns Corporation made it possible to increase our market share continuously. We succeeded - despite strong Japanese competition - in taking a prominent position as a supplier in the Japanese wire-processing industry. More than 1,000 machines delivered are strong testimony for our common road of success.
